Populuslive complaints and feedback
Gterg says:
This used to be a reputable site at one time, but is becoming like so many other scammers on the internet. It takes me about three years to cash out the £50 reward, as I am constantly asked repetitive screening questions which have no relevance to the surveys half of the time, then I am screened out of the survey after wasting 5 minutes of my time telling this site how may people live in my house, what qualifications I have, how many people I am in charge of, how many people live in my house, my date of birth, blah, blah, blah….. another one to avoid! Don’t go there if you value your free time! There are a few good survey sites out there, but this is no longer one of them.

They do pay once in a while. Rightly, too. Using their questionnaire is like rubbing delicate parts of one’s anatomy with a brick. They ask your PostCode and date-of-birth every time, although they have your E-mail address so know you. Then, later, they ask which area of the country you live in, which Commercial TV channel serves your area, all with tedious mouse-moving and clicking,
When you have nearly completed the boring, repetitive survey with information you have given them scores of times before, they decide you are unsuitable, because they have already enough from people of your inferior sort.
It is maddening, like most of our jobs, but it earns a pittance, like most of our jobs, so we have to put up with it, like most of our jobs… Do you see what I mean about boring and repetitive ?
Ben says:
Not trustworthy! RIPP-OFF survey company that will waste your time and effort filling out surveys.
They get you to do a survey right to the very end. They then fault you on a non-existent technicality and forfeit any money you earned taking the survey.
For example they might claim you wrote your post code as N22 5RE on the landing page but in the survey wrote it without the space (N225RE). Not much difference and NOT true of course. They give you no option/no chance to correct any such mistake, if even there was one in the first place.Their ploy is to let you spend 20/30 minutes of your time completing the survey. At the very end they pull off the post-code stunt to rob you of money you earned. They take your answers for the survey but give you NOTHING in return for your time and effort. Downright thievery if you ask me. BEWARE when taking a survey with populuslive.com.
Can Everyone join and how does it work?
If you’re a UK resident aged 16 or over and are not employed by or otherwise affiliated with Populus, you can register to join the Populuslive Panel. Your personal details are completely confidential and will never be passed to any third party. For each survey you complete in full you will be paid.
How many surveys can you do
You can participate in as many of the surveys we send you as you like, (though each survey can only be completed once), whenever you like, provided you are eligible to participate. However, different surveys run for different lengths of time, so it’s best to participate early to avoid disappointment: once a survey is closed or enough people with a certain profile have completed a survey, it can no longer be completed.
There is no set amount of surveys you receive in any given time period. Suitable panellists are selected at random for a survey, so you may receive many in quick succession or similarly you may go a while without receiving one.
How much you earn for each survey
The amount you are paid for each survey will depend upon the average length of time it takes to complete the questionnaire; Typically populuslive pays £1 for every 5 minutes you spend completing online surveys, provided the survey is completed accurately and in full, and takes an acceptable amount of time to complete (based on the average length of completion time.)
What is shown under My Details
This will show you how many points you have accumulated per survey, the total points paid out so far and your current balance, where 1 reward point = £1. Please note that points accumulated by completing a survey are accredited to your online account once that survey is closed, which can take as little as 1 day or as long as 3 months, as different surveys run for different lengths of time.
When you will be paid your money
Once you have accumulated 50 points they will send you a cheque for £50 at the next payment date. Thereafter, with each 50 points you accumulate they will make a further payment of £50.
Payment dates: Please note that payment will only be made when your account has reached a minimum of £50.
The payment process works as follows:
If on the 29th of September your account shows £48 and on the 3rd of October your account shows £53, your payout of £50 will be actioned at the end of October and paid to you within two weeks of the date actioned.
Please also note that your reward account will only be credited with points earned on a survey once that survey is closed. This might be after as little as 1 day, or as long as 3 months, as different surveys run for different lengths of time.
Who is eligible to be entered into the monthly prize draw?
Members who ultimately screen out of a survey; either as a consequence of us having already fulfilled their requirement for a similar profile of participant or simply not meeting the eligibility criteria for a particular survey. Entry is not granted for those who fail due to one of the inbuilt quality control checks. There will be one £250 prize each month.
Prizes will be sent as a cheque.

Yesterday
evening a cold caller rang my home. My wife answered it and while our meal cooled she started to reel off data about voting intentions personal status etc. information I would never disclose. I asked her to stop and she kept plowing on. I cut the phone wire. I never want to get a call on 01932 423690 ever again. I will keep this request on file and use it to get your organisation fined in future
