Jet.com complaints and customers’ feedback:
Bukki Says:
Amazon was being cantankerous and ABSOLUTELY REFUSED to allow me to purchase a computer tablet. This is not the first time Amazon has done this to me. I was fit to be tied. I began searching the web frantically, and I finally found the item I wanted on Jet.com. I ordered it immediately and there was no problem with my address or the location of the state of Pennsylvania. Two days later it was on my front porch. Blazing FAST service!!!! I’m going to buy a snapshot camera from them and maybe a few other items Amazon refuses to ship to Pennsylvania. Jet to the rescue!!!!!
Jane says:
I placed an order with Jet yesterday and received confirmation emails for shipping in three different orders. No problem. This morning I checked my bank account, and Jet had debited my account THIS MORNING for the total amount, and then the three different orders which again totaled the amount. I was double billed in the space of a few hours. When I called Customer Service, I was told that the first was only a hold placed on my account — not a billing — to insure that they got their money, and that they would release it within 3-5 days. So they have tied up $160 of my money! I HAVE NEVER HEARD OF SUCH POOR BUSINESS PRACTICE! It makes no sense whatsoever! This is the last time I order from Jet!
Linda says:
WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!
Placed an order 2 weeks ago for some household items , recieved my items in a timely manner no problem.
Fast forward:
Placed an order 2 days ago for some baby items and household items , got my confirmation email , charged my card then 2 days later sent me an email saying they cancelled and closed my account. I called the 1800 number and the man on the phone proceeds to tell me that in the past my phone number or address was linked with a fraudulent account even though it doesnt match with my name , so therefore I can not place any orders on their site any longer and to find a new website to shop on.
FIRST OF ALL , phone numbers are constantly changing as well as people are always moving! This just blew my mind. So now I have to wait 7-10 days for a $300 refund from them. Makes no sense.
Raul Says:
First, I would like to say that I love Jet.com’s products, prices, and website. I have been loyal to them since when their website launched. Their prices have risen over the years, but they still have great deals on some items, especially in bulk. I place a lot of orders, and have always had to reach out to the customer care team about a damaged item, wrong item, or simply not sending an item at all, and have always found the care team to be kind and fast.
However, as I have mentioned, Jet still has a lot of issues with packaging their products so that they don’t arrive damaged. I order many items at a time, and they are often heavy grocery items. I understand that you’re trying to save money, packing material, boxes, etc, but just packing everything into as small a box and as few boxes as possible simply doesn’t work. Some boxes have weighed in excess of 50 lbs, and they still pack them in the flimsy boxes with one strip of tape. Do they honestly expect this to reach the destination? The boxes fall apart, come open, and items fall out in transit, EVERY TIME. Both FedEx and UPS drivers have told me that Jet has terrible packaging, and that they often have stray items that they have to put back in boxes, and reassemble because they literally fell apart. They often have to put Jet boxes inside other boxes because they fall apart, I’ve been told. This has resulted in me literally having items not come because they fell out of the box and never made it back in. Over the years, you’ve started jamming more items into every box, and while this is more efficient, it just simply doesn’t work, and often results in having to send a replacement box anyway. I am going to continue to shop Jet because I love their prices and have seen their packaging improve to have fewer damaged items, but it still has a long way to go.
Heget says:
I received a 2 person lift item; very large and heavy aquatic stand. Incredible amount of packing material and boxes to open and assemble. Upon assembly I found a crack in a part (non load bearing but still visible) and a piece of hardware required to install a cosmetic edge was damaged as well ( a metal camlock). Two parts damaged total. I notify Jet and provided pictures (delivery day). They offered a partial refund of 16.00 and a Jet credit of 10. I expressed that an entire refund of 26 would be more appropriate, but they would not compromise. They preferred that that I: drive to a packing store to purchase shipping materials for the unit (expensive), pack it (near impossible), ship it back (does not fit in car, cant lift alone), submit receipts of packing materials for reimbursement, and receive a refund or replacement unit. This would have cost me hours and them hundreds, yet they refused to issue me a 10.00 refund? I explained how large, heavy, and inconvenient all of this would have been, I am sure the store credit it to keep people coming back, but based on this CS experience they have lost a new customer for good.
Edit: Reply below was just for publicity. I wrote the email and never heard back.
Johnsons Says:
I was apprehensive about making a Jet.com purchase after reading all the negative reviews but after speaking with some friends who have used Jet.com and recommended them I went ahead a made the purchase. After registering an account I received a personal video from the CEO, yes I know they must have a library of them with first names but it was still pretty cool and made me feel confident in my purchase. It was for a set of 4 tires and the price was the best by far. I ordered them the Sunday of President’s day weekend and they arrived on Wed.!!! Amazing. Some criticized that when you place an order a pending transaction is charged to your account, not sure what their problem is as Jet.com states that clearly, its pending and the actual charge is not applied until the product is shipped, again Jet.com states that clearly! I also noticed that most of the negative reviews are NOT verified purchases which makes me wonder. In any case I was mostly an Amazon customer, but looks like there is a new sheriff in town. Thanks Jet.com.
John T says:
Was skeptical to order from this site before. Then a friend of mine introduce me to the BESTREVIEWS website were they provide reviews of items and were to purchase them. Find a few items I like and redirects products to this store and made a purchase. And I was so glad the item was great and as reviewed. They also provide much lesser prices than amazon. Along with other store such as homedepot and walmart. Though shipping period takes longer than I expected. But being a person who purchased a lot online, got used to it already.
Geter B says:
feel that jet’s customer service has changed since Walmart(?) bought jet. I received an email from jet that said that if I clicked on a link, the items on the link would be eligible for 20%off. There are only about 20 items on the list. I went to place the order and one item was not eligible. So I contacted customer service which denied several times that the item was on the list. Finally when I took a screenshot, one rep believed me and said that they would fix the issue. But since the item is supposed to receive
20% off (as shown by the list that included the granola) I don’t understand, why the couldn’t make an exception as a gesture of goodwill
Hazard says:
I ordered 3 Kayaks for Christmas gifts on December 19, 2017. The shipping date said between December 28 and January 5th. I still have not received these items. Each day I go on to use the tracking number it says its unavailable or provides the next day for shipping arrival. I have called Jet 3 times and just told that it a freight problem. My Kayaks arrived in Kent which is one hour away from my home on December 28th and been there since. Now the freight company said they lost one of the kayaks to give them 48 hours. I was supposed to receive a call back from Jet yesterday as a follow up and never did. I tried to call Jet today and waited for 48 minutes on hold and then hung up and tried calling again and waited another 16 minutes. These items were Christmas gifts for my children. It has been almost a month since I placed the order. The funds have been withdrawn from my account. I have been patient, now I’m frustrated and feel like I have been lied to and scammed out of my money with no Kayaks. My children are starting to think I didn’t order them!!!! My next step is legal action if something doesn’t get done!
Jenny says:
Worst company ever! I purchased a mattress from Jet because their return policy seemed great ( they will send a freight company to pick it up within 30 days if you want to return it). A couple days after I received the mattress, I did call jet to return it and they did send a freight company to pick it up, so far so good. A week later I called to check in the status of my return and was told I had to wait 14 business days (apx. 3weeks) before they could look into it further. It has now been 15 business days (21 days) since my mattress was picked up, NO REFUND still. Jet just told me the freight company (Pilot) THEY HIRED, still has the mattress and has not delivered it back to them and they can’t refund me until they get it back. Also, they cannot “force” the delivery company to deliver it to them and I’m out of luck until they do so. WHAT?! The company Jet hired to pick up the mattress has been essentially holding it hostage for 3 WEEKS and they are not responsible for it and can’t tell me when it will be delivered back to them? Jet is refusing to refund me and refusing to hold the currier responsible. At this point Jet and the freight company, Pilot has stolen my money and this mattress respectively. Thank goodness my credit card compnay is now involved and working on forcing Jet to refund me. Never, and I mean NEVER buy anything from these crooks!
Getrre says:
Bought something on Jet that was half the price it was on Amazon. Ive used this site many times before and zero times has there been a mistake or a broken item. Everything is expertly wrapped. Customer service is always friendly and accomidating, no complaints there. Love the eclectic selection, the prices flucuate but you have to be an informed consumer these days. What jet offers is unparalled, good luck!

How to save more on Jet
You save more on Jet by using their real-time savings engine to make prices drop as you shop. Here’s how you do it.
- Add items with the once you have an item in your cart. They’ll lower the price of items in your cart when you add them — so getting something like toothpaste will save you money on everything from cereal to paper towels.
- Opt out of your free returns. Jet lets you pay less for the stuff you know you’ll keep, like toilet paper or granola bars.
Products whose manufacturers don’t allow discounts won’t drop in price, but don’t worry — their prices are low from the start.
Reason adding an item with the tag lower the price of items in my cart
Items with the can be packed and shipped with other items in your cart. It costs jet less to ship multiple items together, so when you add items with the tag to your cart, you pay less.
Why opting out of free returns on an item lower the price
The cost of a potential return is built into the price of items you buy online. When you opt out of free returns on an item, jet saves that cost, so you pay less.
Jet’s shipping and returns policy
Jet offers free 2-5 day shipping on orders over $35 with faster 2-day shipping on thousands of everyday essentials. Items shipping as freight may take longer than 5 days to arrive.
To qualify for free shipping, your order merchandise total before savings and estimated tax needs to be at least $35. (You can’t combine multiple orders to reach that number.) Small orders are more expensive to fulfill, so you’ll have to pay a $5.99 shipping charge on orders under $35 — which means that ordering more at once will definitely get you better value.
To make sure we can get items marked with 2-day delivery to you in two days, you need to place your order by 2 PM in the time zone to which your stuff is being shipped. Keep in mind that two days means two business days — we let the Jet Heads take a break every now and then, so orders placed on Friday, Saturday or over major holidays may take a little bit longer than two days. There’s no delivery on Sunday or major holidays.
We can’t control delays caused by carriers, information errors, changes to orders or bad weather. (Although we’re working on the weather thing.) But if you ever feel like a delay is our fault, or even if you’re just worried about where your stuff is, please reach out and we’ll see what we can do to help — waiting forever is not fun at all, and we want you to be happy. That said: In case of delays caused by a zombie apocalypse, you’re on your own.
Do all orders qualify for free shipping?
To qualify for free shipping, your order merchandise total before savings and estimated tax needs to be at least $35. (You can’t combine multiple orders to reach that number.) For orders below $35, we charge a fixed shipping fee of $5.99.
Where does Jet ship?
We only ship to the 48 contiguous U.S. states and the District of Columbia right now. If you’re in Alaska or Hawaii, which are both amazing places, we’re sorry and we want to be shipping there as soon as we can.
What makes this item a deal?
Generally, they’ll use the word ”deal” to let you know that the price of a product has dropped by at least 10% from the higher of (i) its average price over the last 90 days or (ii) the price you’ve seen on Jet for at least 30% of the last 90 days. If they haven’t been selling an item for 90 days yet, they’ll use the word ”deal” to let you know that the price is at least 10% below the Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Price or the price at which the product has been otherwise consistently offered for purchase by other major retailers. Some exceptions apply.
Where your Jet packages are shipped from
Jet orders are delivered either from the warehouses of their retail partners or from their fulfillment centers. Jet selects retailers that can fulfill your shipment in the most efficient, cost-effective way.
Your order may occasionally be fulfilled by a retailer other than the one stated at checkout, but you will always pay the same price.
Why you sometimes get a box from Jet and sometimes from a different retailer altogether
Jet selects the retailer that can most efficiently fulfill your order. When it is most cost-effective for Jet to send you your items, you receive items straight from their warehouse in a purple Jet box. When they select a different retailer, you receive an item from that retailer in their packaging.
Sometimes you get a package from a different retailer with a packing slip and invoice that show different prices or shipping charges for the products you bought than what you paid on Jet. Why is that?
When one of jet retail partners fulfills your Jet order, the price you pay is what you saw on Jet. Sometimes their partners sell those items at different prices on their own sites, and that’s what shows up on the invoice. Visit the Order History page in the Account section of the site to see the complete, correct details of what you paid for items purchased at Jet, along with the savings you earned.
When you get a package from a non-Jet retailer for an item bought at Jet, sometimes the invoice lists a credit card, billing address, or email address that are not yours. Why is that?
Your order may occasionally be fulfilled by a retailer other than the one stated at checkout, but you will always pay the same price. In those cases, they purchase the item themselves on your behalf: Your privacy is important to them, and they would never share your personal information with a retailer with whom you had not agreed to share it.
How delivery works for oversized items like furniture and appliances
When you order an oversized item, you’ll be given an estimated delivery date range, and then a delivery company will call you to schedule the exact delivery window. Your shipment will be delivered to your doorstep, but some carriers offer the option to upgrade to “room of choice” or “white glove” service for an additional fee — if you’re interested, just ask about it when they call.
What is “room of choice” service?
“Room of choice” service means that your oversized items will be delivered right to the room or outdoor location of your choice — not just to your doorstep. Some carriers offer the option to upgrade to this service, just ask the delivery company when they call to schedule your delivery. You’ll have to pay an additional fee, but do you really feel like figuring out how to get that refrigerator inside yourself?
What is “white glove” service?
“White glove” service takes “room of choice” service one step further. You won’t just get your oversized item delivered to the room or outdoor location of your choice — it’ll be unboxed and set up, and all the packaging will be taken away so you don’t have to deal with it. Some carriers offer the option to upgrade to this service, just ask the delivery company when they call to schedule your delivery. You’ll have to pay an additional fee, but this is about as convenient as it gets.
How they ensure the safety of fresh and frozen foods
Food safety is jet top priority, and they work really hard to make sure that everything you order meets safety standards both before and after your order is packed. Here’s how they do it:
Facility and associate training
All of their associates are trained in both food safety and Jet-specific handling and packing procedures, and their facility is regularly inspected by local and federal agencies. They also do internal food safety audits themselves.
Temperature control
Your groceries will be packed with ice packs and/or dry ice to keep everything at safe temperatures. Each box has separate storage sections for frozen, chilled, and ambient items designed to protect perishable products from damage and spoilage. Orders are packed with enough coolant to keep everything fresh through a two-day delivery window.
Additional precautions
Every fresh grocery order is sealed with Jet tamper-evident tape to ensure the products are stored safely. Raw foods are specially bagged to prevent cross-contamination.
Your part
Once you open the box and inner insulated bags, put your groceries in the fridge or freezer as soon as possible. Put raw meat and seafood on the bottom shelf, away from and not in direct contact with ready-to-eat foods, and make sure to wash whole produce thoroughly before you eat it. This probably goes without saying, but packaged food products should be consumed by their Use-By dates as stated on their outer packaging
How to place an order
To place an order, go to a product page, select the desired quantity of the item, and add it to your cart via the “Add to Cart” button. Before you check out, you’ll be prompted to create an account or to log in to your existing account. During checkout, you just need to enter or confirm your shipping address and credit card information, then you can place your order.
How to cancel an order
You can cancel your order by visiting the Order History page in the Account section of the site or by calling the Jet Heads at 1 (855) 538 4323 within 30 minutes of placing your order.
You won’t be able to cancel your order after 30 minutes have passed, but once the items have arrived, you can visit your Order History page to initiate a return.
How to see your order history
You can see your order history by visiting the Order History page in the account section on the site.
How your card is charged by Jet
When you place an order, Jet creates a pending charge (pre-authorization) for the amount of your order total minus any JetCash or credits used at checkout. This is not an actual charge.
If you order multiple items, your order may arrive in multiple shipments. As your items are shipped, you will see actual charges on your account equal to the shipment amounts.
If you have multiple shipments in your order, your bank may hold more funds than the Order Total up to 3 Business Days after your final shipment. At that time, all pending authorizations will be dropped from your account and only the actual charges will remain.
If you see charges greater than the Order Total more than 3 Business Days after the Final Shipment, please reach out to the Jet Heads at 1 (855) 538 4323.
How does Jet calculate sales tax
Unless specifically indicated, Jet is the seller of items purchased on the Jet Sites.
Items sold by Jet are subject to tax when shipped to destinations in: AL, AR, CA, CO, CT, FL, GA, IL, IN, KS, LA, MA, ME, MI, MN, MO, MS, NC, NE, NJ, NY, NV, OH, OK, PA, RI, SC, SD, TN, TX, UT, VA, VT, WA and WY. Any applicable tax will be applied to the price you pay for taxable items, less any and all extra savings.
Does Jet offer a tax exemption
Eligible governmental, non-profit, charitable and similar organizations should email all tax-exempt requests to taxexempt@jet.com. Include a copy of applicable state or federal exemption certificates. Eligible tax exemptions will be processed by Jet and tax will not be charged on future purchases made by eligible tax-exempt accounts.
Jet does not honor resale exemption certificates, as purchases for resale are against Jet’s Terms of Use.
How to return an item
You can initiate a return by visiting the Order History page in the Account section of the site. You’ll be able to see the amount you’ll be refunded and print out a return label. If your order was fulfilled by someone other than Jet, be sure to use the Jet return label you print out, not one provided by that retailer. You have 30 days from delivery to make a return. Please remove any pets or babies from boxes before you send them back — we really can’t stress this enough.
Amount they refunded when you return an item
The amount you’ll be refunded is the amount you paid for the item, including taxes. It may take up to 14 business days after they receive your returned items to process your refund.
What is Jet’s return policy?
Returns are free on nearly everything sold on Jet. You have 30 days from delivery to make a return. Jet reserves the right to refuse a return if an item is not returned in its original condition, including all packaging and tags, but they understand that things happen. Certain items are non-returnable. If you opt out of free returns in order to pay less when you purchase an item, you’ll still be able to make a return, but you’ll be asked to pay a fee.
If you opt out of free returns on an item to pay less, does that mean you can’t return it?
You’ll still be able to make a return, but you’ll be asked to pay a fee of $5.99 plus 5% of the item price. As a rule of thumb, it’s probably best to opt out of free returns only when you’re sure you’ll be keeping an item. It’s a great way to save extra on things like diapers and paper towels.
Are any jet products non-returnable?
Not many, but yes. They don’t accept returns of the following merchandise: select personal care items, hazardous items, pay-as-you-go products (phone, games), some jewelry, gift cards, charitable donations, grocery products, flowers and live indoor plants, open software, live insects, and items with special shipping instructions imposed by the U.S. Department of Transportation (as indicated on the product detail page). They also reserve the right to refuse a return if an item is not returned in its original condition, including all packaging and tags.
How to return oversized items
Just call the Jet Heads at 1 (855) 538-4323 or email help@jet.com to schedule a pickup.
If you want to return an item that was fulfilled by someone other than Jet
You can initiate a return to one of their retail partners by visiting the Order History page in the Account section of the site. You’ll be able to see the amount you’ll be refunded by Jet and print out a return label. Be sure to use the Jet return label you print out, not one provided by the retailer who fulfilled your order. You have 30 days from delivery to make a return. If you have any questions, reach out to the Jet Heads at 1 (855) 538-4323 or help@jet.com.
What is JetCash?
JetCash is a reward incentive available to Jet shoppers that can be used as a payment method on orders placed at Jet. One dollar of JetCash is equivalent to one dollar off of a purchase at Jet. JetCash is issued for promotional purposes, has no intrinsic value, and may not be redeemed for cash.
What is the JetCares Program?
The mission of the JetCares program is to help nonprofits increase their impact by getting essentials to them at an affordable cost. The program has two main components:
JetCares Essentials Program: Provides basic essentials to nonprofits at discounted rates, so they can make a greater impact in their communities.

How to make a donation to a nonprofit
You may search for a nonprofit that is participating on Jet.com, or browse all participating nonprofits here. Once you select a nonprofit, choose a donation amount to add to your cart, like how you would add a regular product to your cart. After checkout, your donation amount will be loaded to the selected nonprofit’s Jet.com account in the form of JetCash. The nonprofit will receive an email notification that they have a new donation, and will use your donation to purchase essentials for their community on Jet.com.
What is JetCash?
Nonprofits can use JetCash to pay for their orders of essentials like diapers, personal care items, and household & pet supplies. $1 of JetCash is equal to $1 off of a purchase at Jet.
